Sounds of explosions caused by missile interceptions were heard in the skies over Qatar’s capital Doha, the Qatari media reported on Tuesday.
“The sound of missile interceptions was heard in the sky over Doha,” Alaraby TV reported, without providing further details.
No official comment has yet been issued by the Qatari authorities.
According to an Anatolian tally, Qatar has been targetted with 149 missiles, 69 drones, and two fighter aircraft from Iran since the start of the US–Israeli offensive against Tehran.
Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates reported new missile and drone attacks from Iran on Tuesday, with air defenses working to intercept the incoming projects.

In a statement, the Ministry of Defense said “the sounds heard are the result of the air defense systems intercepting missiles and drones.”
No further details were provided.
Regional escalation flared up since Israel and the US launched a joint attack on Iran on February 28, killing more than 1 200 people, and injuring over 10 000 others.
Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries that are home to US military assets. – AA
