Sounds of explosions caused by missile interceptions were heard in the skies over Qatar’s capital Doha, the Qatari media reported on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The sound of missile interceptions was heard in the sky over Doha,” Alaraby TV reported, without providing further details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No official comment has yet been issued by the Qatari authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to an Anatolian tally, Qatar has been targetted with 149 missiles, 69 drones, and two fighter aircraft from Iran since the start of the US\u2013Israeli offensive against Tehran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates reported new missile and drone attacks from Iran on Tuesday, with air defenses working to intercept the incoming projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a statement, the Ministry of Defense said \u201cthe sounds heard are the result of the air defense systems intercepting missiles and drones.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regional escalation flared up since Israel and the US launched a joint attack on Iran on February 28, killing more than 1 200 people, and injuring over 10 000 others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
